Canon CR-2 PLUS Digital Non-Mydriatic Retinal Camera provides Color and Fundus Autofluorescence (FAF) imaging within a small compact design. Geographic Atrophy, Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy and other conditions that can affect vision may also be identified and monitored using FAF mode. Using invisible infrared alignment light, the digital non-mydriatic camera may image patients with pupils as small as 3.3 mm (small pupil mode) without dilation drops. This is especially useful when performing retinal screenings or expediting routine retinal imaging exams during office visits.
The CR-2 Plus is a high performing Non Mydriatic retinal camera with FAF functionality for high quality and high resolution diagnostic imaging. FAF imaging for the diagnosis of retinal disease is a relatively new diagnostic technique that provides more information on the health of the retinal pigment epithelium. FAF has proven to be very useful for the early detection of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), one of the leading causes of visual impairment. Recent studies indicate that FAF imaging can also aid the diagnosis of a variety of other diseases and even detection of intraocular tumors.
45° Non Mydriatic Retinal Camera
The CR-2 Plus is a 45 degrees retinal camera. Additionally it is equipped with a 2X digital magnification . A minimum pupil diameter of ø 4.0 mm (only ø 3.3 mm in Small Pupil mode) is required.
